From the reviews

Update: I am editing my review to 5 stars as the business got back to me and apologized for the employee’s behavior. They also offered me a free massage! Really appreciate the prompt action taken. I have visited this place multiple times for deep tissue massage for the past year.

I don’t say this lightly: Theory Wellness is hands down the best value and most consistently excellent massage I’ve found. Every therapist I’ve seen has been incredible. The level of therapeutic skill is truly top-tier, not hit-or-miss like so many places. The space is calm and welcoming.

I have been coming to this location since 2022 & I have always had the best experience here. I usually book a couples massage, but I just finished my first solo session today & it was as wonderful as any other I’ve had. By far the best massage in Seattle for a wonderful price range.

I have been coming here for several years and the massages have always been great. The price is also great. I recently went to the new Mountlake Terrace location and it was amazing - very big open space, cute decor, quiet rooms for massages. It was so relaxing. The deep tissue massage is great.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
