Came in today for a massage for the first time and it was amazing! I was super nervous at first, but with the relaxation room and complimentary drink (which was delicious!), it definitely helped. Roberto was able to understand where my pain and discomfort was at and easy to talk to.
This place is the best spa I have ever visited. I was traveling and experiencing a lot of pain. The Sanctuary place was able to get me in very quickly. Once I arrived I got to experience the relaxation room which was an amazing treat and a great way to start off my massage.
Went in for an hour massage and it was absolutely what I needed! Hanging out in the relaxation room while sipping on a complimentary drink set the tone the for the whole experience! Cheyenne was amazing and is very skilled in her profession.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
