From the reviews

Today marks one year since I first set foot into Abel. In 2018 I threw my back out several times toward the end of the year after repeated back problems. They were debilitating incidents where I was often laying on the floor for up to half an hour in the morning before I was able to get up and start moving around.

★★★★★ — Angie, Jan 2020

I have spent 10+ years struggling with pinched nerves and a ruptured disc in my lower back. I had been to multiple chiro appointments but nothing was helping. I was referred to Karly after another flair up. Before seeing Karly I was at a point where I couldn’t walk for more than a couple minutes in without severe pain.

★★★★★ — Shawna, Aug 2019

I have been a patient of Dr Karly’s for three years. I can’t express how much she has helped me. I suffered with stomach issues for years and after the same treatment year after year for 10 years from my GI doctor didn’t work, I was left feeling hopeless.

★★★★★ — Amanda, Oct 2023

Dr. Abel is absolutely amazing. She cares so strongly and truly wants to help you feel your best. She has helped me and my son in ways I didnt know was possible! If you have anything ailing you, you should give her a try. She has helped me with my digestive issues when my general practioner was stumped.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
