From the reviews

Dr. Joe is such a patient caring helpful and knowledgeable PT. When other doctors left me feeling hopeless with my recurring symptoms since my c-section, he listened intently, took every concern seriously & was somehow able to provide me with relief and hope even after just one session!! He was life changing for me!

I have been seeing Dr Joe for over two years now, and I cannot speak highly enough of him. I am a dancer and fitness instructor, so my muscles and joints need a lot of upkeep and attention. Dr Joe is incredibly knowledgeable and has kept me moving at peak condition.

★★★★★ — Andrea, Nov 2020

After recovering from a pretty serious chest injury, there are three words to describe my treatment with Joe - professional, caring and meticulous. The location is easy to travel to and from other borrows (Brooklyn) and scheduling appointments through the site couldn’t be easier.

★★★★★ — Anthony, Mar 2021

Chloe is the best! She really understands the body and is super professional, friendly, gentle and has great 'bedside manner'. She's helped me learn a lot about my own body and has supported me through a few injuries.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
