From the reviews

I seriously love this space. The location is ideal and the space is exceptionally intimate. I love the yoga classes at this space and if you go down the hall to Grae Wellness, you can schedule an excellent massage session.

You can feel the shift in energy as soon as you walk in. NYC life can be stressful and when you walk into this establishment it is such a beautiful reminder that it is OK to slow down, enjoy, love, and be still. I had the most enjoyable and relaxing experience where I felt truly taken care of.

★★★★★ — Suleika, May 2024

I had my first massage with Tim and I was very happy with the service from beginning to end. The office has a calm, welcoming atmosphere when you enter. I waited less than 5 minutes for my appointment to begin.

★★★★★ — Tanya, Apr 2018

I’ve been going to Grae Wellness for several months now and it has been a great experience. I’ve gotten plenty of massages in my years but never felt comfortable or proper fit when working with someone. My experience at Grae Wellness changed that trend.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
