Matt is professional, kind, down to earth and great at what he does! I look forward to my monthly sessions! Highly recommend Matt!
Aubree gives a great massage. I have had trouble sleeping with bad neck pain. After my massage yesterday I was able to sleep through the night with no pain at all. Highly recommend!
My daughter and I attended a mindful circle retreat at The Movement Journeyman today, and it was such a calming, welcoming experience. From the moment we walked in, the space felt warm and nurturing.
I was visiting from out of town and had the opportunity to take two classes with Stephanie at movement journeyman. It was an excellent experience for beginners and returning yogis alike. If you are looking to learn yoga or just get some amazing movement and stretch into your body -this place is incredible!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
