I had heard great things about lymphatic massages for post-op recovery, so I decided to try The Grove Studio since it’s close to my home and had such amazing reviews. I’m so glad I did. Nina is phenomenal - a true healer with incredible knowledge and genuine care for her clients.
From day one, Nina made me feel well cared. I arrived at her office a week after my liposuction procedure, and I had a high percentage of fibrosis. Nina, not only relieved me of my significant pain, but also greatly improved the fibrosis from day one. She is100% recommended!
I had the great fortune of meeting Nina after needing manual lymphatic drainage after a surgical procedure. She took me under her wing and walked me thru my recovery with such care, skill and knowledge. Not only did she help heal my body, Nina opened my mind about wellness from within and has truly changed my life!
I had an injury on my shoulder for god knows how long. I was referred to Nina by a friend of mine who prepaid a two hour session. The room is personalized to allow you to feel relaxed. My first observation of the room was that it was extremely clean and tidy.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
