From the reviews

Hadyn is a gifted healer, intuitive and skilled, the treatment he has provided me has greatly improved my quality of life. Acupuncture at the Chinese Medicine Clinic has given me sustained energy (I am completely off coffee, something I never thought I'd say!) and has greatly reduced my symptoms of anxiety.

★★★★★ — Kristen, Aug 2014

I was skeptical and afraid of needles when I came to Hayden the first time, about 2 years ago, I now come to him before I seek out Western medical care, as I've learned properly applied acupuncture has immediate positive effects.

★★★★★ — Jodi, May 2016

I decided to try acupuncture to treat tension and pain in my neck and shoulders. A couple of nights ago I slept on my neck wrong and have had much soreness. Today , I slipped and fell hitting my head and neck exactly where the soreness was.

★★★★★ — Julie, Apr 2016

I was uneasy about acupuncture but reluctant to undertake yet another surgery (and the lengthy recovery) and I heard good things about this place in particular, and had driven past it a thousand times.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
