From the reviews
Received a massage here as a Christmas present (gift card) and finally made time to use it. Its been several years since I've had a massage. Pre-session registration was easy. The store is very neat and tidy. Calming, rhythmic music was on overhead and the therapist played different music during the massage.
My husband and I booked a couples massage at BodyWorx and had a fantastic experience. He’s active duty military with old injuries, and I’m currently breastfeeding with a lot of tension in my neck and upper back.
I look forward to walking into the office every time I visit...it's like taking a deep breath and slowing the crazy pace of life down several notches! I appreciate the genuine care and concern that Robyn has for her clients!
Bodyworx is a great place to get a massage just because you deserve one. Even better though, their therapists are exceptional at getting your body back on tract after an injury or just getting older.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
