From the reviews

I started visiting The Body Remedy for an irritated shoulder. Dr Allison made me feel comfortable and listened while I tried to explain how it feels— which is hard to explain sometimes. After a few sessions of dry needling and cupping , my shoulder is feeling so much better! I’m so thankful!

★★★★★ — Pam, Apr 2023

Dr. Allie Di Salvo at The Body Remedy is an exceptional chiropractor. I’ve been seeing her since January for lower‑back pain, muscle tightness, and headaches caused by neck issues.

★★★★★ — Rene, Apr 2026

I saw Linsey to address some lower back pain, specifically after weight lifting. Linsey performed an in depth evaluation and included me throughout the entire process. She is extremely knowledgeable and kind. She performed cupping and dry needling which has helped my lower back pain.

★★★★★ — Meagan, Oct 2024

I have been having some major issues with my shoulder for quite some time, and after seeing an ineffective physical therapist, I decided I needed to seek out another type of treatment for relief. I scheduled a consult with Dr. Allie Di Salvo and after three sessions, my shoulder has seen so much improvement.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
