From the reviews
I always look forward to appointments with Tatum. I have received acupuncture, craniosacral, cupping and welcomed Tatum’s herbal knowledge and offering, as it benefits me as well.
Tatum considered every last detail when creating a care plan for my pain management needs. I appreciated Tatum's professionalism and gentle bedside manner. Tatum gently walked me through the process of my first fire cupping session.
I had felt like I had hit a wall with talk therapy and medication for my anxiety/depression/trauma journey. Starting acupuncture and cupping with Tatum has put me on a path of healing and growth in ways I didn’t even know were possible. I cannot recommend Tatum enough!
Tatum is extremely knowledgeable and thoughtful in her care. She is my go-to practitioner for acupuncture and cupping. Both my teenage daughter and I have had wonderful experiences with Tatum. She offers a calming presence and a relaxing environment for care. I’ve recommended her countless times!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
