From the reviews
After accruing several injuries on top of chronic joint pain from years of abuse from jiu jitsu and powerlifting, I was left having trouble walking, standing, and even focusing during daily tasks was difficult due to hip pain.
Lin is nothing short of a healer!! Her vast knowledge of the body and functional movement is so impressive, her space is warm and inviting, and she has the ability to immediately put you at ease!
I cannot recommend Lin enough!!!! After just one month (four sessions), she has completely changed my life. I came to her struggling with herniated discs and had been living with persistent lower back pain for over a year and a half, with little to no relief.
I came to Synergistic Movement after months of what I was convinced was a rotator cuff injury. I’d already been through PT, therapy, you name it and nothing was fixing it. I finally tried acupuncture for the first time with Lin, and I’m genuinely blown away. Lin didn’t just treat my shoulder.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
