Why Open Space Acupuncture & Wellness is listed — cupping is a treatment, not a Google category, so we only list a provider when there's real proof they offer it. Here's what we found: “herbal formula specifically tailored to your individual health presentation and goals. In most cases, herbs will be prescribed to help increase the effectiveness of the acupuncture treatment, and to extend its actions. Cupping Cupping…” source →

From the reviews
I saw Maddie last week for help with TMJ/ stress jaw pain that I’ve been experiencing on and off for like ever and it’s a miracle that since our appointment I haven’t had any jaw related pain!
Maddie is absolutely amazing and I cannot recommend her enough! I have been seeing Maddie for over 6-months now and look forward to every session. I was brand new to acupuncture and cupping when I first started my sessions, and Maddie has always been extremely patient and supportive.
I feel very fortunate to be able to receive such quality acupuncture treatment from Maddie. We have worked towards improving my upper scoliosis and have achieved such good results from a combination of acupuncture & cupping, so much so that you can visually see the improvements!
Maddie Bergner is the absolute best! I have been seeing her regularly for TWO years and she is a staple to my personal wellness and self care. I walk into her space, take off my shoes, and instantly feel calm. She is an active listener, thoughtful acupuncturist, and constantly learning to improve upon her skill sets.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
