From the reviews
It had been a long time since I’d had a massage. I’ve been nursing a few tight injuries-lower back and left shoulder. Erin expressed interest in my wishes, explained deep tissue and Swedish techniques, and used cupping (which I’d never done!). I also wanted to add massage to my anxiety-reduction practices.
Avrielle is a miracle worker, truly one of a kind (medical) massage therapist. She's a beautiful human exuding healing positive energy. I've gone through a variety of medical therapies for decades but this is it, I won't ever see anyone but Avrielle. My husband and daughter now see her as well.
Avrielle is amazing!! I entered the room my first time telling her that I was very skeptical and had had one massage in my life... I just recently told her that she's my favorite part of the week :) She's extremely knowledgeable about the body and how all of its parts work together and because of that knowledge, my…
Avrielle at Sundrop is wonderful! She has a lovely calm space for her massages. Her demeanor was friendly, professional, and she quickly put me at ease. The massage itself was great - she took a moment at the beginning to ask me for my preferences and expectations, checked in with me once the massage had started to…
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
