I feel very fortunate to have met Megan - a year ago. She is a mindful, patient, attentive, very knowledgeable and professional acupuncturist (let's not forget cupping - she knows exactly how and where to place them to make the pain go away).

I’ve been going to Compass Point for two years now, and I love it! I originally started seeing Autumn for PMS/endometriosis relief and saw HUGE improvements. I now see Megan on a weekly basis and love the work she does. Very professional, very intuitive, very relatable.

Autumn is the best! I love this place and have been going here on and off for a few years. She even does trigger point and cupping. Autumn also sells a variety of products for muscle pain and is knowledgeable about Chinese herbs. She can mix a custom bottle of tinctures for all of your personal ailments....

I am so glad I finally decided to see an acupuncturist just over a year ago. I have dealt with many extensive injuries after being hit by a semi 10 years ago and then being hit by another truck just over a year ago.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
