From the reviews

My trainer at Anytime Fitness recommended SPT Ferndale when my knee issue wasn't improving (and then to complicate matters I fell on my knee and had a bad bone bruise). I had never been to PT before so wasn't sure what to expect but now I realize how special and phenomenal RJ and Evan and the entire support staff are.

★★★★★ — Deborah, Mar 2025

Ive been to physical therapy many times before coming here. Other places I went I dreaded it and I never felt like It was worth going. That changed when I started coming here. Every time I go I am learning new exercises with hands on training and actually felling results after each session.

★★★★★ — Jayde, Mar 2025

I had an amazing experience at SPT Ferndale. I came in with low back issues, and RJ was incredible—super attentive and focused on getting me back to feeling like myself. Thanks to his expertise, I was up and running in no time. After finishing PT, I joined a workout class with Courtney, who was just as fantastic.

★★★★★ — Nikki, Dec 2024

Evan and RJ and all of SPT staff are ROCKSTARS! They set a great a vibe in the clinic that helps you have fun and get yourself physically better! Evan helped me get from a pretty messed up knee to one that I can now hop, bike, hike and run on! Thank you SPT for your amazing energy and all your support.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
