From the reviews
Sports & Wellness PT is awesome. I previously went to a different physical therapist for the same issue and decided to go to S&W instead (as i didn’t feel they were helping after 6 weeks). S&W did more for me in my first visit than i received in 6 weeks worth of visits elsewhere.
This is one of the last REAL physical therapy practices in the area. Paula and her team don't just put you in the corner to perform silly exercises on your own. They perform a thorough evaluation and apply all of the latest methods to your injury from cupping, to dry needling, electro treatment, etc.
Both Brian and Jessica have been outstanding at helping me to recover from my torn rotator cuff injury. I can definitely see and feel the progress. they are both highly professional and great to work with. Just a pleasure to talk to, as well.
Sports & Wellness Physical Therapy is an amazing facility with an exceptional staff of experienced PT's. I had a hip replacement and have been working with two wonderful PT's (Paula and Jess) for 5 weeks now. They really lead effective sessions and push me as I have been rapidly progressing.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
