From the reviews
The best thing I ever did. Without acupuncture treatment I got from Dr. Brittany, my knee would NOT be good and I won’t be able talk last year. About a year ago I tore my ACL and I didn’t have insurance to do the surgery, so I decided to go get acupuncture treatment. It was the best thing I ever did.
I went to Shift Acupuncture and Wellness because I had extreme nerve pain in my neck. Every time I went to sleep or sat a certain way, the rest of my body would feel like pins and needles. I got acupuncture and cup therapy for the first time, and I immediately felt relief.
Loved my first acupuncture/cupping experience with Dr. Antoine! She makes you feel comfortable and explains everything so that you understand prior to treatment!
Brittany does a wonderful job at treating conditions traditionally difficult to manage. As someone dealing with Multiple Sclerosis, and all its my symptoms, as well as Chronic Migraine, I have personally seen the benefits of Mrs. Antione’s knowledge, skill and kindness. I’ve seen improvements across the board.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
