From the reviews

I was referred to Ben by my chiropractor, which is already a great sign. Practitioners that refer you to other practitioners know what they're talking about! I came to Ben for residual pain from a car accident. I had tried acupuncture previously but wasn't thrilled with the previous place or staff.

Ben is an awesome healer! I've been going to Ben for a couple months now. I had an ankle injury in August that I had been working on with my primary care physician and physical therapist.

★★★★★ — Diana, Jan 2020

My fiance was referred to Ben from a physical therapist and I was lucky with that because I am now seeing Ben for acupuncture as needed as well as coaching. I couldn't say enough good things about Ben for you to understand how great he is.

★★★★★ — Sienna, Feb 2018

Having never tried acupuncture, about six months ago, I first visited Ben upon referral by a friend for longstanding numbness in a foot resulting from a sports injury many years ago. Ben was great at listening to me explain the background of my injury and recurring issue, and then suggested a treatment plan.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
