From the reviews
Had my first massage with Deb today, was a very peaceful and relaxing experience. I have never done cupping therapy before. It was certainly enjoyable and i look forward to my next appointment. Highly recommended
I don't write many reviews but it is hard to find a really good massage therapist these days. One who actually listens and is energy conscious and seems to know exactly how to work the body to relieve tension, stress and any other issues one may have. Debra DiSimone is that therapist for me.
Deborah does a fantastic job! I’ve used her the last couple years for sports massages and she has helped my recovery process. This past season I improved my marathon time by over 6 minutes.
I’ve been going to Deb for massage for the past 4 years. Massage keeps me injury free to enjoy rowing and strength training. Deb is very skilled at balancing muscle tension relief and relaxation. This new location is so relaxing, I feel like I’m melting into the massage table.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
