From the reviews

I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Dr. Monee Dulay. I initially came in dealing with persistent thumb pain from repetitive stress, along with ongoing lower back discomfort—and I’m so glad I did. From the very first visit, Dr. Dulay took the time to truly listen and understand what was going on.

I recently had the Facial Gua Sha + Cupping Massage at Rooted Flow Wellness with Dr. Monee, and I'm still amazed by the results! It's a unique and refreshing take on a spa facial, providing a relaxing yet skin-beneficial experience.

★★★★★ — Jckim012, Nov 2023

Dr. Monee is amazing! I’ve been seeing her since 2021 for acupuncture/cupping at a time when I was TTC. Only after a few visits, I got pregnant with my first baby. I continued to see Dr. Monee for prenatal and postpartum care, and expanded to skincare needs to help with my eczema.

★★★★★ — Leilani, Jan 2025

The facial gua sha + cupping massage is a relaxing fresh take on a spa facial. Dr. Monee is so kind and personable, and I appreciated her attention to detail. In particular I really enjoyed the facial cupping. My jaw was very tense and I could feel a huge difference immediately after the facial.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
