Why Rise Health is listed — cupping is a treatment, not a Google category, so we only list a provider when there's real proof they offer it. Here's what we found: “rst visit includes a review of your health history and an exam. An acupuncture treatment will immediately follow. These additional therapies, for no additional cost, may be included depending on need and time allowance: cupping, gua sha,…” source →

From the reviews

I had never tried acupuncture before, but booking with Arica was one of the best decisions I’ve made. I struggled with a variety if health issues for two years and tried everything to get them under control. Since working with Arica, I’ve had significant improvements in my quality of life.

Arica is amazing! She is very thoughtful and thorough in her practice and is such a caring person. I’ve seen her for many different reasons (listed below) and she always finds a way to help! - chronic and acute low back pain - pregnancy edema and carpal tunnel - hormone imbalance - gut health - postpartum recovery

I have had MS for over 20 years and experience a variety of health challenges due to this which include balance and walking issues, vertigo and sciatica among many other things. I cannot tell you how much my health has Improved and how fantastic I feel every time I leave an appointment. She is the best!

★★★★★ — Jennifer, Jan 2026

Omg. Arica is the best! She is so thoughtful and carefully considers all aspects of health before each treatment. She continues to hone her craft, knows what acupuncture does, but also what it doesn’t do. Receiving her services has been a game changer for me. Truly holistic health care.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
