From the reviews

When I finally went to Ricky, I had been having back pain for 9 months. I had tried everything: regular massage, chiropractic adjustments, acupuncture, cupping, doctor/pain meds and physical therapy for little to no relief.

★★★★★ — Debbie, Mar 2015

Ricky Prevatte Massage. Ricky is the best massage therapist I've ever had and I've seen many. His knowledge and technique gives him superior results. I am a 50-year-old man that is still actively pursuing sports like jujitsu and mountain climbing.

★★★★★ — Matt, Sep 2022

In sum, Ricky is wonderful! I came to Ricky only a few weeks ago with a multitude of chronic pain related problems, in addition to a complex health history. I had been to many different specialist, such as chiropractors, physical therapists, pain specialists, etc.

★★★★★ — Crystal, Mar 2015

I've been seeing Ricky for two sessions now and I couldn’t be more grateful to have found him. He uses the perfect balance of pressure and technique, and every session leaves me feeling the tension and tightness melt away.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
