From the reviews

Heather was awesome!! I received the cupping massage and it's been the best yet. Not only is she very thorough in her work but she also provides information about the good and bad she feels in your body as she works on you.

★★★★★ — Kehinde, Aug 2020

I saw Heather every month for several years. The day I met her I knew she was special. She has a wonderful combination of great mind, compassion and professionalism. I have tried many message therapists over the past ten years. Heather became my favorite. After just one session I knew I was in good hands.

★★★★★ — Olga, Mar 2020

I knew that my wife had been seeing Heather for some time on a regular basis and often heard her refer to her as the “body whisperer”. When I started to experience difficulty sleeping due to neck, shoulder and upper back pain and stiffness my wife scheduled me in for a few therapeutic massage sessions.

★★★★★ — Ashleigh, Feb 2020

Heather is one of the best massage therapists I've ever had. I used to see her monthly for years before she moved and I always looked forward to my appointment. She is so knowledgeable about the human body and has helped me through a countless amount of running injuries that I've had.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
