“She has a gentle presence, and an innate understanding of what will address my shoulder and back pain holistically, and it works.”
“I’ve been getting massages since I was 15 (I’m 34 now), so I’ve worked with a lot of massage therapists over the years—and Kim Ownby is the best I’ve experienced.”
“They've literally kept me comfortable in pregnancy, helped me go into labor, recover postpartum, balance and plan pregnancy through Mayan Abdominal massage, and fight off mastitis with ELT.”
From the reviews
Kim and Gabi have been my go-to’s for massage and ELT for a decade +. Can’t say enough good things about their skill, professionalism, kindness, and the general sense of peace that I always experience at Restora.
I can’t say enough good things about Kim. She is truly amazing at what she does, her hands are incredible when it comes to massage therapy, and you can immediately feel the difference. Her electro lymphatic therapy has been a game changer for me.
I’ve been getting massages since I was 15 (I’m 34 now), so I’ve worked with a lot of massage therapists over the years—and Kim Ownby is the best I’ve experienced. She doesn’t just help you relax—she actually knows what she’s doing.
I had an incredible experience with Kristin! Easily one of the most relaxing and restorative massages I’ve ever had. From the moment I walked in, she created such a calm and welcoming environment. She is not only kind and attentive, but also highly knowledgeable and intuitive in her work.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
