Why Reno Massage & Wellness is listed — cupping is a treatment, not a Google category, so we only list a provider when there's real proof they offer it. Here's what we found: “ills to help you slow down, heal and nourish your body. We aim to provide you with a space to leave your worries at the door upon entering our cozy and inviting practice. We are trained in prenatal, cupping, myofascial…” source →

From the reviews

Hands down one of the most incredible massages I’ve had in Reno. Marisa is talented and very attentive especially with a recovering shoulder muscle injury. Adding cupping was such an added bonus, and I felt the difference immediately after. This is officially my go-to spot and can recommend enough.

I have had several hundred massages in my life. My massage with Adrian today was definitely in the top 3. I felt very relaxed and my soreness was greatly reduced. I also liked his space. Great atmosphere.

Reno massage and wellness is such a relaxing and cozy place to get a massage. I was really impressed with the intake form I received before my appointment that covered very important questions and areas that I wanted to be addressed in the massage. I saw Cassidy she is absolutely phenomenal!

Had a great massage at Reno Massage & Wellness with Jody. Super relaxed vibe, no rushing, and she really knows what she’s doing. She listened to what I needed and worked out a ton of tension without it feeling too intense. Also—shoutout to the foot work.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
