From the reviews

Amethyst is very educated and highly skilled. She uses a variety of techniques including cupping to release muscle tension in her massages. She is absolutely the best. Also the ambiance is so relaxing as well. I absolutely love the massage experience at her studio!

Amethyst is truly a gifted therapist. . She addressed my concerns and used her expertise and intuition to aid in relaxation. and healing. She incorporated hot stones and even does cupping! I feel amazing!! I highly recommend Amethyst, you will love her!

My back was killing me! Probably 9 out of 10 on pain scale. I was nervous about even having anyone touch me. Amethyst was great. Worked on areas around the inflamed site before working directly on site. After 1.5 hours I had about 40% relief. I was thankful for that. 2 hours after treatment I had 90% relief. THANK YOU!

A fantastic, skilled, and knowledgeable massage therapist. She makes her own massage lotions, and practices many different disciplines. Excellent for relaxation or pain management.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
