What clients say about the cupping here
“Most knowledgeable and compassionate practitioner I have ever experienced!”
From the reviews
Most knowledgeable and compassionate practitioner I have ever experienced! My sessions with Dr Italiano always provide a relief that lasts far longer than other modalities and acupuncturists I have tried over the years and her advice has been spot on. The office is lovely and relaxing with views of Mt Rose.
Dr Italiano is very well versed in her field. She takes time to listen to what is going on and help find solutions. It was my first time getting acupuncture and I hate needles but didn't feel afraid at all. She was very compassionate and caring. Definitely will be returning!
Both practitioners are personable and a wealth of knowledge.
Dr Italiano and her practice have been a life saver for me through a broken limb and breast cancer. Her practice has done wonders for my quality of life. She is compassionate, great price for service and has so much knowledge. The last 4.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
