So I did my rehab after a shoulder surgery and it was great once I got going. Of the 3 different surgeries on my shoulder this was by far the best recovery I've ever had! I truly believe that is because of the rehabilitation specialists, therapists, and staff.
Great place to go to get back on the right track after a surgery. This was my second time to get rehab done first for a knee replacement and my last was a total hip replacement. All the crew here are top notch to get you back on your feet.
Therapists are focused on the individual's personal recovery. They encourage good form and proper technique in each exercise. Kudos to Jamye, Dwayne, and Allison!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
