Ever since trying the Gua sha and cupping facial with Tracey, I just keep coming back. In my opinion, it’s the most unique facial in town, with the sculpt, lift glow facial right behind it. I go back and forth between the two.
My wife and I went to Relax! Massage Therapy and Skin Care in Wilmington for a couples massage to celebrate my birthday, as we do every year—and once again, it was absolutely perfect. Every masseuse we’ve had here has knocked it out of the park, my wife wants to say I have to give special love to Anjel Bilezikian.
Found my favorite therapist today. Relax has always been a reliable place to get a quality massage. Today Anjel, (like 😇 angel but french) gave me the best massage. Deep tissue, trigger point and relaxing. Aroma therapy hot rocks - legit. I walked out of there like I was in a trace. Relief feom headachs.
I saw Josh for upper body, rotator cuff, and tendonitis issues. He takes a slow approach to building deeper pressure in the muscles, which i really appreciate opposed to fast "deep tissue". I feel like I lost 10 lb off the top of my body! Im noticing so much improvement today. I highly recommend Josh.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
