From the reviews

I came to see Brian for acupuncture and cupping session for my back pain and also relaxation. I've always had a lot of pain in my neck, shoulders, mid and lower back for many years. He did the glass fire cups and his technique were gentle but had a good suction effect. It was very relaxing.

★★★★★ — Peter, Jun 2020

I came to Brian for a variety of reasons including acne, tennis elbow, and a nagging hamstring injury. He has strategically helped me to adjust my lifestyle (in reasonable ways!), provide herbs, and treatment for all of my ailments. I've seen major improvements in my skin and in my other pains as well.

★★★★★ — Katy, Apr 2019

I found Brian to be incredibly skillful and thoughtful. His suggestions about lifestyle and ways to improve your overall health outcome are incredibly powerful. The acupuncture is so good. I've been to many over the years and I found Brian to be the very best.

★★★★★ — Mike, Apr 2021

Brian has a very calming presence and clearly knows his stuff! Hands down the best acupuncture I’ve ever experienced!! I’ve sent multiple family members his way all leaving with raving reviews and continuing appointments. Highly recommend!!

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
