From the reviews

Jim truly cares about his patients. I've been going for a few months now after my rotator cuff surgery, and got frozen shoulder. He's been helping me work through it and we are slowly making progress. He's super enjoyable to talk to, and has everything you need to be comfortable.

Jim is an amazing therapist! He is very professional, nice, and genuinely cares about his clients feeling better. I felt comfortable with him from my first visit. I was struggling with plantar fasciitis, some knee pain, and shoulder pain from heavy workouts and each session he helped me get relief.

★★★★★ — Lizzie, Sep 2019

I have been taking QiGong classes from Jim for the last year and half. I really enjoy his class. He is very knowledgeable about QiGong. He explains how to do the movements and the purpose of the movements. At the end of his class, I am relaxed and more focused. He is helpful and friendly to everyone.

Jim is definitely my go-to guy when I am feeling any kind of stress or muscle tightness with any area of the body. As an college athlete, he has been able to help me so much with knowing how to stretch properly and explaining how and why certain muscles are sore.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
