From the reviews
update- over the last decade, I have seen Anna for so many aliments - allergies, sciatic pain, ear aches, menstrual irregularities, lower back pain. She’s fixed them all when the western doctor’s pills wouldn’t work. I really believe Anna’s acupuncture and cupping techniques help to optimize my health.
I have discovered Anna over 10 years ago. During the first visit she makes sure to be aware of all the pain and aches, as well, as allergies, purpose and goals for the visit. During my cupping, we discovered that one of my lower discs wasn’t properly healed which caused me chronic back pain.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Anna Mai Acupuncture in Campbell, and it was a truly exceptional experience. Anna's expertise and dedication to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) significantly impacted my well-being. I initially sought Anna's help for my lower back and neck pain and stress relief.
I am really grateful to Anna for the great treatment Anna has done for me. She really pay attention to the symptoms currently occurred, and relax the muscles with combinations of acupuncture, massage, and cupping. Unlike, the traditional medical acupuncture, the treatment takes advantages of all 3 combined.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
