From the reviews
There just aren’t enough positive things to say about Primacare Physical Therapy. I am a survivor of a fatal accident, and have been in pain, in one shape or form, for almost 11 years. I found this location via Google, and I am so grateful I did.
I went to PT here for three months and it was a great experience! I loved my therapists and they did a great job of balancing strength, stretching and a variety of pain relief methods like dry needling, massage, cupping and electrical stimulation. They also were up on current techniques and method of treatment.
Irina is a superstar. She knows how to push me to do the necessary stretches and strengthening exercises. Also she is very good at dry needling and cupping.
My doctor referred me to physical therapy for lower back pain. Since I was traveling to Atlanta for two weeks to visit my brother, I decided to look for a clinic there and found Primacare Physical Therapy nearby with great reviews.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
