Angel is an incredible massage therapist; kind, compassionate and highly skilled. After two pregnancies, weight gain, and life stress — I am constantly working on healing my body and mind, and I am lucky to have found Angel. Each session begins with a thorough analysis of symptoms and areas of body we want to address.
Angel has been my mentor through my massage program and has been a real cornerstone in deciding where my career is headed. Though he is a neuro-based massage therapist, he is a heart centered massage therapist first and foremost.
Angel is hands down (pun intended) the master at massage therapy. What separates him from others is his attention to detail, his educating throughout the meeting and his overall authenticity and care for each and everyone of his clients.
As a massage therapist myself, I find it hard to find a good therapist that does what I need them to do. With that being said, Angel, is a rare gem. Intuitive, listens to what you need, applies the pressure perfectly. No cookie cutter massage for sure. Understands what needs to be done and well vetted.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
