From the reviews
I visited Precision for knee pain I’d been struggling with, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. From my first appointment, Dr. Shawn truly took the time to listen, ask detailed questions, and tailor a treatment plan that made sense for my situation.
Dr Shawn Potteiger has amazing medical knowledge in sports medicine. Being an athlete himself, Dr. Potteiger is able to relate to folks suffering from a sports injury or other joint related issues.
Dr. Potteiger is an excellent physician who has helped me mentally and physically overcome issues with my hips. He is an excellent communicator who is always available to discuss concerns after your appointment. Dr. Potteiger administered two rounds of PRP injections on my hips.
Dr. Potteiger is very approachable and communicates in a way that makes everything easy to understand. I felt comfortable and confident sharing my concerns with him. He is kind, patient, and truly attentive. I highly recommend his practice to anyone looking for a compassionate and knowledgeable physician.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
