From the reviews
I cannot recommend Dr. Mark Powicki of Powicki Physical Therapy enough. I have been seeing Mark for neck and back injury/pain for the past few years. Mark truly takes the time to listen to each of your concerns, answer all of your questions and make you feel heard.
Really grateful for the work Mark does. Our son had a sore hip and needed immediate relief, hoping to be ready to play in a game a couple days later. I text’d Mark over the weekend and he graciously responded, almost immediately.
After weeks and months of going to physical therapy to rehab a pulled hamstring Jonny was cleared to play again. First scrimmage back guess what? He pulled it again. Right back to not playing. All that time spent and he was no better off. It was incredibly frustrating and he was running out of time.
I am a marathon runner today because of Mark. When I set the goal to run my first marathon 3 years ago, knee pain kept me from making any run longer than 6 miles without having to walk. On my first visit, I expected him to say I had a serious knee problem.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
