From the reviews
I injured my left shoulder via general overuse in August of 2024. I couldn't bench press, overhead press, or do push ups without serious pain. I even had pain in everyday life (getting out of bed, pulling clothes overhead, etc).
Sam is amazing! I came to him less than two weeks out from running a marathon with extreme knee pain, and genuinely thought I wouldn’t be able to compete. He did so much hands-on work and analysis for me in such a short period of time. I was able to run pain-free, and I know that was definitely due to Sam.
I would highly recommend Sam! He has helped my neck and upper back pain tremendously! He truly listens to your concerns and creates an individualized plan tailored to your needs.
I went to physical therapy at another place before, but I didn’t really see much progress. Once I switched over to Podium Performance Physical Therapy and started working with Sam, everything changed. Sam takes a really personalized approach—he actually listens and tailors the treatment to what my body needs.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
