From the reviews

A month prior to arriving at Pearl Grace’s orange door I had gone through a very heartbreaking family loss and other emotional stressors. To say my stress management process, soul, energy, spirit, body, and mind needed a reboot is an understatement. I had misplaced the value of self-care.

I was looking for an acupuncturist to assist in my journey towards motherhood. Dr. Anne came highly recommended as an acupuncture fertility specialist by my fertility MD. My initial inquiry and appointment booking was seamless. The consents and health questionnaires were conveniently sent and completed via online.

★★★★★ — Ashley, Jan 2022

My experience at Pearl Grace has been overwhelmingly positive. I've suffered from shoulder pain for years and after just one visit, I felt a massive improvement. Following a few sessions of cupping and acupuncture, I can confidently say that I feel better than I have in years.

★★★★★ — Ali, Mar 2020

After a long journey with infertility, I went to Pearl Grace seeking fertility help. It was my first experience with acupuncture. Dr. Anne welcomed me with compassion and grace and over the next several months I saw her for regular treatments.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
