From the reviews

DeAnna is a phenomenal massage therapist. I go for massages one to three times a month. Before going to Origins Massage, I had tried mutliple massage therapists, but none have been as successful at treating my chronic pain or accommodating as DeAnna. She is truly kind and takes an interest in you and your wellbeing.

★★★★★ — Genevieve, Jan 2020

As a holistic health care practitioner and someone who has been receiving massage for three decades, I have set a pretty high bar for massage therapists, and DeAnna soars over that bar with ease. She is professional, capable, caring, strong, and empathetic.

★★★★★ — Matt, Sep 2020

DeAnna has been our massage therapist for over two years now and in a word she is AMAZING. We have had many massage therapists over the years and not one of them can compare to her. She is attentive and knowledgeable. She truly listens to you and your body.

★★★★★ — Trish, Jan 2020

Look no further! DeAnna is the best massage therapist in the area. She listens to your body and you will leave feeling relaxed and rejuvinated every time. I have paid $$$ for massages, and none compare to a massage at Origins Massage & Wellness. I promise you will not be disappointed!

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
