I have had the pleasure of working with Melissa on couple of occasions. I went in because I had been feeling stressed at work and wanted to try acupuncture for the first time. My treatments included acupuncture, massage, cupping, and some herbal medicine. I feel much better after visiting Dr.
Melissa has helped my office manager with pain related issues and my good friend's wife also has gone to see Melissa to help her health conditions. Both are satisfied with the result and it is a nice place to get treated as well! As with any eastern medicine, the key is long term and consistent treatments.
Dr Vie is amazing! I have had chronic pain in my neck for 10 years and I am so much better. They are all very sweet and feel quite maternal. What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
