What clients say about the cupping here
From the reviews
I have been seeing Dr. Gao for 2 years now, when needed, and am always in awe at the results. He has helped me with various skin conditions, including acne and eczema, as well as balancing my digestion and hormones, all through acupuncture. This therapy is powerful and Dr. Gao is truly a master.
Doctor was attentive to my needs and helped me recover from a bad knee injury. His therapy is powerful and gets pain relieved quickly.
Helped immensely with my gut health, PMS, and Womens' health related issues. TMS is truly magical, he knows what he is doing and will also prescribe herbs tailored to your need.
Absolutely mind boggling how quickly I was diagnosed and found out things I would never have by other physicians. Highly recommend a visit.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
