I had a truly wonderful experience with Min, an exceptional Tui Na massage therapist. Her knowledge of traditional Chinese bodywork, combined with her intuitive and attentive touch, made for one of the most effective and healing treatments I’ve ever had.
This place has been a God sent for me. Acupuncture isn't covered by my insurance and most places are very pricey. With having to get treatments twice a week it can add up very quickly. Treatment costs are on a sliding scale, starting at $15 and are appointments are done in a group setting.
I am so grateful for Oakland acupuncture project! The affordable sliding scale pricing gives me an opportunity to have weekly treatments that reduce the symptoms I've been navigating (migraine, neck / back pain, etc) I feel so much appreciation for Holly and Dr. Dawn. They are earth angels at Grand Ave 🤍🕯️🕊️

What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
