From the reviews
If you are on the fence about trying Shockwave with Becky, now is the time to go for it. I was in off-the-charts pain with my plantar fasciitis, and was told by my podiatrist that I should consider surgery. I have done PT, steroid injections, oral steroids, special socks, you name it!
I highly recommend Nurture Massage & Wellness. Becky is AMAZING has helped to relieve the frequent tension headaches I was experiencing by working out the knots in my neck and upper back. I feel immediate relief that lasts months after seeing her.
A sudden muscle spasm on Thursday reduced me to painful hobbling and I called on Friday morning. Lucky me -- Becky had a opening in her schedule and could see me that day! She treated the affected area with just the right amount of trigger point and myofascial massage. Within a day, the misery abated.
I’ve been going to Becky for prenatal massages throughout my pregnancy and I think it’s a huge factor in me feeling really good throughout! She always takes time to check in and make sure I get exactly what I need. The environment is also really calming. Will be continuing to go regularly through postpartum and beyond!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
