From the reviews

I have been receiving acupuncture treatments from Brooke Zanni at North Shore Wellness Acupuncture for about 6 months. Originally I went for sciatica, which went from pretty severe to mild pain within 2 sessions and subsided further as I continued with her.

★★★★★ — Susan, Oct 2019

Brooke has done an AMAZING job treating me for my stomach issues. I have dealt with stomach issues all my life and have tried so many different treatments/doctors and nothing has helped. Brooke has been the only person who has been able to help me tremendously! Brooke is very caring and compassionate with her patients.

★★★★★ — Christina, Jan 2019

Brooke is the absolute best! My acupuncture experiences with her have been truly amazing. I can't believe how incredibly great my body feels after receiving her treatments following multiple injuries and surgeries. I haven't felt this great in years and I'm so thankful for her dedication and efforts.

★★★★★ — Nick, Dec 2018

I've gone to acupuncturist all across NY State when traveling for business or while visiting friends. Taking a chance on North Shore Wellness has been the best decision yet. Brooke's treatments have helped alleviate my sciatica pain, sinus pain and headache, as well as mucle knots.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
