From the reviews
I have been going to acupuncture regularly for over 10 years and across 3 cities. Nina is by far one of the best acupuncturists I have ever met. She takes a very thorough and caring approach to understanding patient needs and combines bodywork with needle therapy.
I have had lower back pain for a decade. I have been seeing Nina for a couple of months now. The acupuncture treatments, though gradual, were consistently effective in alleviating my pain. This gradual improvement gave me hope, and now I can drive, go back to exercise, and do gardening without pain.
Nina is so talented and a really kind person. She fixed my chronic back pain in six weeks and can always give me relief when I’m in pain. She’s also extremely organized and professional, and her office is very relaxing and clean.
I recently had the pleasure of hosting Dr. Nina Jatuparisuthiseen as a featured speaker for the Women’s Networking Group of Fairfield County, where she led a session on “Why Timing Is the New Longevity.” Nina brings a rare combination of depth, clarity, and practicality to her work.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
