I’ve been getting monthly massages from Karaha for about a year now because she is the best of the best. She always addresses my pain areas with custom treatments including cupping which I’ve never tried until her.
Karaha is absolutely amazing! I've gone to her for both a relaxing massage and when I've had a problem area that needed her attention. She has the magic touch and knows what to do for my problem areas. She gets down to the cause - often not even where I'm necessarily sore, but another muscle causing it.
I am in the beauty service industry, a salon owner, and I am VERY picky. I value great service and attention to detail and Karaha checks all the boxes. It's hard to find a massage therapist who has cupping, and oils, and heat packs and red light and literally everything.
I have been going to Karaha for more than 6 years. She is amazing at finding the problem areas and helping you get relief. I love that she uses multiple multiple techniques. My personal favorite is cupping. Her space is peaceful, inviting and relaxing, a reflection of who she is as a person. Thanks Karaha!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
