From the reviews
Laura is amazing! I see her for post surgery Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD). My surgeon specifically recommended her and rightfully so. She is highly educated, but conveyed in layman‘s terms (which was great for me) the what she was doing and why.
Laura is a top-notch manual lymphatic drain massage therapist. Her extensive knowledge and clear explanations make each session comfortable and easy to understand. Knowing that she’s certified and licensed provides confidence that you’re receiving professional and high-quality care.
Massage therapy with Laura has been relaxing and effective for the swelling and pain I have had following knee replacement and hip replacement surgeries. It has truly been a game changer! I highly recommend massage therapy with Laura from A Touch of Class Wellness & Recovery!
After surgery Laura did a series of lymphatic massages which helped tremendously with swelling. She made me feel comfortable and was very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend her services.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
