Hello, My name is Denise. I was in SEVERE pain in my lower back for about 15 days. I was looking for a chiropractor to help me. I found MHC in Penfield and decided to try them. Dr. Robert Denero and Dr. Michaela Devaney were excellent. It took 10 treatments to get back to normal.
Dr. Michaela Devaney is the best! She has helped me with my neck pain tremendously and I trust her to adjust me safely. Im a nurse at a pain clinic and can’t recommend her enough. If you have a hard time trusting someone to adjust your neck safely then she the one to you.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
