From the reviews

I have nothing but great things to say about Mandy and the Mountain Land PT team! I came to MLPT after an Achilles injury. Mandy made my experience so enjoyable.

★★★★★ — Emily, May 2021

I have been going to Mountain Land PT on South Temple for various issues on and off for 5 years. Mandy is my 3rd therapist and the only one who diagnosed my hip being out of place. I was told my right leg was shorter than my left so I wore a heel lift in my shoe.

★★★★★ — Sheila, Oct 2021

A huge thank you to Mountain Land Physical Therapy—especially Sydney—for helping me get back into marathon shape after a hamstring injury this summer. My recovery had been slow and frustrating until I started working with Sydney on targeted stretching and strengthening exercises.

★★★★★ — Charlene, Nov 2025

I came here for pre and post ACL surgery. Chris was the therapist that helped me throughout the hard time prior and after my surgery. It was unfortunate that I had to leave the state or else I would have continued my therapy there.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
